How to score it
Select exactly one RFA per assessment. The RFA determines which items are required, the completion timepoint window, and how iQIES validates the submission. RFA 02 was retired in OASIS-C (January 2010); use RFA 03 for Resumption of Care instead. Note: the All-Item Instrument PDF displays values as single digits (e.g. "3."), but the iQIES transmission and our oasis_assessments.rfa_code DB column store zero-padded two-character codes (e.g. "03") per the OASIS Data Specifications. Both refer to the same RFA.
The common error
Using RFA 02 (Resumption of Care — retired). iQIES will reject any OASIS submission with RFA 02. Also: submitting RFA 04 outside the recert window (days 56–60) — iQIES will flag as a timing error.
