How to use the Map: Route and Caseload

See your day's stops in driving order, or every patient on your caseload.

Route and Caseload

Open Map from the menu. At the top is a switch with two views: Route and Caseload. Route shows one day's visits in order, from home and back. Caseload shows every patient on your caseload at once.

On a computer, the switch and the list are in a panel on the left and the map fills the rest. On a phone, the switch is at the top, the map is under it, and the list is under the map.

What the Route view shows

  • Leave home byThe time to leave home to reach your first visit on time.
  • Each stopA number, the patient's name, the scheduled time and the town. The stops are your own visits of the day that are not missed, in order of their start time.
  • Each driveThe drive before each stop, such as 12 min, 5.4 mi. The drive home comes last, then Home.
  • The day's totalsAt the foot of the list, such as 6 stops, 1 h 10 m driving, 31.6 mi.

A stop in progress pulses on the map. A day with nothing on it says No visits on this day.

Step between days

  1. Press the arrows beside the date, Previous day and Next day, to move one day at a time.
  2. To jump to a date, press the date box and pick a day.
  3. Press Today to come back. On a phone, Today shows only once you are looking at another day.

Open a stop or a patient

On the Route view, tap a numbered pin. A card opens with the patient's name, the stop number, the time and where the stop stands, such as Stop 2, 9:30 AM, scheduled. It also shows the address. Press Open visit to open the visit, or Directions to get there. Directions opens Apple Maps on an Apple device and Google Maps on others.

On the Caseload view, each patient is a pin in the color of their status. Tap a pin, or a name in the list. The card shows the status, the day of the period (such as Day 23 of 60), the address, and the next visit (such as Next visit: Tue Oct 13, 9:00 AM) or No visit planned. Press Open patient, Call (when a phone is on record) or Directions.

  • The list shows the patients in the part of the map you are looking at first, then Patients not in view. Tap one of those to bring their pin into view.
  • The legend shows how many patients have each status. Press a status to show only those patients, and press it again, or Show all, to see everyone. On a phone, press Legend at the bottom left of the map.
  • From a patient's record, open the Map menu and choose Show on the map. The Caseload view opens with that patient's card.
  • Close a card with its close button, or with Escape on a keyboard.

Map buttons

  • Map layersChoose Map, Satellite or Terrain, and turn Traffic on or off. Logicly remembers your choice on this device. Drive times on the route are without traffic.
  • Zoom in and Zoom outGet closer or see more.
  • Fit all patientsFit every pin on the screen.
  • My LocationShow where you are. Your browser asks first. The card then shows today's progress and your next stop, and the Caseload list shows how far each patient is in a straight line.

Change the order of your stops

You can put a day's stops in another order on the Route view. Only stops that are scheduled and not checked in can move, and the day needs at least two of them.

  1. Drag a stop by its grip, the dotted handle at the right of its name, and drop it on another stop's place.
  2. Or press the grip, then press Move up or Move down.
  3. Logicly saves the new order and says Your route order is saved. Press Undo on that message to put the day back.

The order changes the visit times

When you change the order, Logicly sets new times for the visits that moved, in the new order, and each visit keeps its length. You see the new times on Schedule too.

To let Logicly choose a better driving order, use Optimize route on Schedule's Day view.

If it isn't working

  • The map is not loading right now.The full message says your schedule and records are not affected. The list still shows the day's stops, or your patients, and each patient's address is on their record. Try again later.
  • The route could not be loaded. Reload the page to try again.Reload the page. If it keeps happening, check your signal.
  • Your browser is not sharing your location with Logicly.Allow location for Logicly in your browser or phone settings, then press My Location again.
  • Your location is not available right now.Your device could not find where you are. Try again in a moment, or where the signal is better.
  • That layer is not loading right now.Choose Map in Map layers, or try that layer again later.

If a patient or a visit is missing from the map, see the article on a missing patient or a route that looks wrong.
