How to score it
Record the date the agency resumed care after an inpatient stay (24+ hours not for diagnostic-only purposes). Format MM/DD/YYYY. If the patient was not admitted to an inpatient facility during the episode, use code NA.
The common error
Filling in M0032 with the SOC date when there was no inpatient stay — leave NA in that case. Also: using M0032 for a brief ER visit that did not result in inpatient admission.
