How to score it
Record the agency's 6-digit CMS Certification Number (CCN) — the Medicare provider number assigned by CMS for participation in the Home Health PPS. This is a free-text field but must match the agency's CCN on file with iQIES; mismatches cause submission rejection at the validation layer.
The common error
Entering the agency's NPI or Tax ID in place of the CCN. The CCN is a CMS-assigned identifier distinct from NPI; iQIES validates this field against the registered agency.
