How Virginia compares
The average Virginia agency against the national average.
Medicare publishes this one per agency, not per state.

Virginia home health hotline
Virginia Department of Health, Office of Licensure and Certification. Virginia’s complaint page
Hours, as the state lists them: “Messages left after normal business hours, on weekends or holidays will be returned the next business day.”
For abuse, neglect or a safety problem, call the hotline the same day. Otherwise Medicare.gov’s order is the agency’s administrator first, then the hotline. The agency may not treat your parent worse for complaining.
From CMS’s list of State Survey Agency contacts and Virginia’s own page, checked October 16, 2026.
